Thank God for 2 things again

Thank God for being able to go for M&L retreat. I am reminded of holiness living in Christ.

Thank God for being able to attend my primary school classmate's funeral wake. Truly the bible is correct, "Ecclesiastes 7:2- It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart." The question that we often ask is why she die? (She died on her birthday, same age as me)

However, I think that question should be asked, "Why it is not me?". I was reminded why God still keeps me alive, what is my purpose on earth, why God puts me in the job that I am doing now, why God place these friends around me. These are the questions that we should be asking ourselves as often as we can. Oftentimes, we are so busy in what we are doing and we lose what is our real focus.

This is the answer:
Hebrews 12:2 "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

There was an urgent need for the gospel. Lord give me the heart to love souls!

Thank God for Grade 2 in violin

Today I have 2 things to thank God for. One thing is that I am in violin grade 2 now. God's amazing grace enabling me to reach grade 2 in such a short time, only after 12 lessons! I had to remind myself to be humble. Without God, I am nothing.

Another thing is that I manage to do something that I had never done before. I walk with it for quite sometime, feeling weird, but I did it after all. The reward is to look at the surprise facial expression. Time to sleep, tomorrow is a tiring day. Give me grace to do my CMA tomorrow!
