As I pondered upon what the Lord had blessed me with in 2005, I want to echo this verse that I found:
Genesis 49:25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
Truly the Lord will not withhold His blessing from us! Below is the record of blessings that I can think of, that the Lord had blessed me with last year:
:: Thank God for ::
1. being one of the 3 leaders in Shomerim in 2005 (although I am not a good leader and was not willing at the beginning, God still used me).
2. being more caring towards others because I was a leader.
3. constantly reminding me of my sins in His Word and teaching from God's servants as I had to lead by example.
4. being able to encourage a brother, using God's Word, who was feeling down and wanted to depart from the faith.
5. a good, less stressful job with lots of free time.
6. having time to learn the piano, attend Prayer Meetings, Christian fellowship and Bible studies because of my not-so-stressful job.
7. service to the Lord as a pianist at the Prayer Meetings (despite the fact that I am not good enough and still need a lot of practice).
8. distinction in my grade 5 piano exam and for having a good piano teacher.
9. brethren and my grandmother who lent me money to buy the new piano.
10. an anonymous person who sponsored half of my fees for the night class at the second half of the year.
11. faith being strengthened as I attended the 2 Monday night classes.
12. being able to complete the FEBC night class reading assignment of the NT in the second semester. In doing that, I understand the NT more and was blessed through the long duration of readings.
13. opportunity to share God's Word in the Youth Camp and Shomerim special gathering (God spoke to me as I was preparing the exhortations).
14. more opportunities to serve God, whether it be music or Church-related ministry, and for the talents that the Lord has given me.
15. the conviction of not listening to the Chinese pop song channels; in doing that, my mind became more focused on Christian and Classical Music.
16. somehow being able to complete the reading of the whole Bible in 3 years (hopefully I did not accidentally miss a chapter because sometimes I forgot where I had stopped).
17. keeping my faith as I see brethren leaving the Church; I felt sad for them. Pray that the Lord will bring them back one day.
